The whole idea of our Jointworks event is to help people get fit, or at least fit enough to do some exercise.

Following the Olympics in Rio there has been a great deal of media and medical discussion from all sorts of experts trying to get us all slimmer, fitter and generally costing the NHS far less.

That's all very well, but we see patients on a daily basis who would love to be able to take up a sport or leisure activity, but they can't because they have problems with their joints.

Our aim in providing this first JOINTWORKS event, is to show how joints work; how to improve your movement and to highlight the many myths that people get told (even by their doctors) that are actually stopping people getting fit and moving better. 

We want to show that it doesn't have to cost a lot of money to get fit, be out of pain and enjoy life. There are some very easy and simple tips to get you started.

There will also be a number of "exhibitors" from local sports clubs, dance clubs etc offering a variety of activities that may take your fancy. We have allowed a full hour for people to visit and talk to the club representatives.

After that, there will be an hour long Question and Answer session with a panel of all four Specialist Musculo-skeletal Chartered Physiotherapists from Stort Physio ready to answer any and all questions and to provide as much help as possible.

We are hoping for 200 people at this JOINTWORKS event and we would like to see it become an annual event.

This gives a full hour to visit the stands of local sports clubs and leisure activities and to see what they have to offer you.

We hope you will find a sport or activity that you will enjoy and that will keep you fit and active for many years.

12noon - 1pm Question and Answer Session
